The Type of Art I’m Ready to Create

Thanks for visiting Radiant Pursuit Art. I decided it would be a good idea to start writing blog posts to let people know who I am and what I am passionate about. The world can be noisy and I’m really hoping to both share my art and connect with like-minded people. I have dreamt about this site for years and, now that my youngest child is in toddler phase, I am ready to slowly start devoting more time here.

I love art and creative pursuits in general. I keep a running list of ideas for new projects on my phone and I’m very excited about seeing these ideas through to completion.

I love trying new things when it comes to drawing and painting. When I look around, most artists have a distinct style and they stick with it. That is probably wise; I am working to find out which category of art I want to focus on. I will try to be as cohesive as I can but there are so many different styles of art that I find exciting. Maybe the problem is that I am still figuring myself out; I guess we will see as time goes on.

One thing I do know is that, regardless of the style of art, I want to focus on gospel related topics, meaning I want to produce art pieces that point people to Jesus Christ. There are many reasons for that but the one that stands out most is my children—when I think about the type of art I want to have in my home and why, ultimately I want reminders in my home that will help them look towards their Savior. There are many things I want to teach my children; too many. At the top of my list is my desire for my children to understand the importance of putting Christ first.

Hopefully I will create some art on here to help me (and others) in that goal.
